Ask Another School

There needs to be some way to indicate if a page is currently being edited by another content editor. The system should not allow more than one editor on any particular page at one time to avoid competing changes.

This would be useful so that two or more people are not making edits/changes on any particular page at the same time. How will the system know which save/publish is the correct one?

    Yes! Great idea!

This is a really cool suggestion, particularly for our schools that may not be able to delegate individual page editing responsibilities to a single admin.

We'll keep concurrent editing functionality and safeguards in mind as we continue to improve upon the editing process for Composer.

I agree. The Google Doc feature of showing who else is viewing and editing the page would be helpful.

This. Please bring this feature. There have been so many times our contributors have complained about not having their edits save due to this issue. Our contributors have to call each other before making any edits to a post so as not to have this happen. Compare to Google Doc feature of showing who else is on the page.
